After graduating from law school at the University of Ottawa, Anastasia moved back to Toronto and completed her articles in real estate law. Since then, Anastasia has worked in civil litigation and built a general and appellate refugee and immigration law practice. She has extensive experience representing clients at the Immigration and Refugee Board and has also assisted clients with pre-removal risk assessments, humanitarian and compassionate protection applications, and appeals at the Refugee Appeal Division and Federal Court.
Anastasia is an attentive, empathic advocate who excels in communicating clearly and persuasively. She sees the complexities that underlie legal matters and puts forth ideas that respond effectively to challenges.
Anastasia is inspired by optimism that the law can help to provide greater social justice though she has a thorough understanding of the limits of the legal system. She trusts her hopeful vision helps and inspires others in turn.
Outside of her legal work, Anastasia enjoys yoga, long walks with her dog, travelling, and writing poetry and short stories.
