Ayaka is originally from Japan and completed her legal education at one of the top Universities in Japan, Waseda University in Tokyo. Ayaka moved to Toronto in 2017, and worked as a legal assistant at a Toronto immigration law firm. Ayaka returned to study at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and obtained her LL.M. in Canadian Common Law in 2020. Ayaka completed her articling term gaining further expertise in immigration law and was called to the bar in Ontario in June 2021.
Ayaka provides legal services in various immigration applications with Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada, as well as representing refugee claimants before the Immigration and Refugee Board. Ayaka has also appeared before the Federal Court for Judicial Review. She is passionate about supporting clients who are going through challenges in their lives and protecting their human rights.
Outside of work, Ayaka enjoys trying different ethnic foods in the city and travelling all over the world.
